DELIVERY & RETURNS
ORIGINE PARIS Ethical & Bespoke Fine Jewellery
Every Origine Paris piece is unique, prepared with the greatest care before it is handed over to you. We make sure your experience matches the piece you have chosen, down to the very last detail.
1. Delivery
1.1: Delivery methods
Depending on your location and your preferences, we offer two handover methods, agreed together when your order is confirmed.
Hand-delivery in person. For clients in France, in-person hand-delivery during a dedicated appointment is our preferred option. It allows us to present your piece in the best possible conditions, in its case, and to answer any questions you may have.
Secured shipping. For clients in France, in Europe and worldwide, we ship your jewellery via specialist carriers, with mandatory signature on receipt and insurance at the declared value of the piece.
1.2: International delivery
Origine Paris ships worldwide. Transit times vary by destination and are communicated when your order is confirmed.
1.3: Delivery costs
Delivery is offered on every Origine Paris order, whatever the destination. Any customs duties, import taxes or administrative fees applicable in the destination country remain solely the client's responsibility.
1.4: Packaging & parcel contents
Each piece is presented in its Origine Paris case, carefully protected for transport. The parcel contains:
- The Origine Paris case holding your jewel
- A certificate of authenticity
- The gemmological certificate(s) (for diamonds of 0.5 carat and above)
1.5: Mandatory signature
For security reasons, all our deliveries require a signature on receipt. If you are absent, a delivery notice will be left and a new delivery slot arranged with the carrier. Origine Paris cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the recipient's absence.
2. Dispatch times
Once the piece is finalised and approved, dispatch is arranged within 48 to 72 working hours. Estimated transit times are as follows:
- France: 1 to 2 working days
- Europe: 3 to 5 working days
- International: 5 to 10 working days depending on the destination
These times are indicative and may vary depending on the carrier, the destination and exceptional circumstances beyond our control. You will be notified of dispatch by email with a tracking number.
3. Returns - Collection pieces
3.1: Scope
The right of withdrawal applies exclusively to standard, non-personalised collection pieces ordered remotely. Any specific resizing, engraving or modification requested by the client at the time of order turns the piece into a personalised item, thereby excluding the right of withdrawal in accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code.
For non-personalised collection pieces from the Origine Paris collections (Eclora, Daisy, Avalanche or any future collection), ordered remotely, you benefit from a right of withdrawal of fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of receipt, in accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
To exercise this right, please follow the steps below:
1. Written notification
Send an email to contact@origineparis.com within 14 calendar days of receipt, stating your name, your order reference and your wish to withdraw.
2. Preparing the return
The piece must be returned in its original condition: unworn, with no sign of use, in its Origine Paris case and original protective packaging, together with all its documents (gemmological certificate(s), certificate of authenticity and any other document provided on delivery).
3. Shipping
Returns are preferably arranged by contacting the Origine Paris adviser who handled your order, who will organise the collection of the piece with you. Failing that, you may ship your return to the following address: Origine Paris, 231 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France. Return shipping costs are solely the client's responsibility. We recommend using a carrier with insurance at the value of the piece and signature on delivery. Origine Paris cannot be held responsible for pieces lost or damaged during the return.
Any sign of use, micro-scratches or damage found when the return is received will result in either cancellation of the refund or a deduction corresponding to the restoration costs, assessed by Origine Paris and communicated to the client before any decision.
4. Refund
On receipt and inspection of the returned piece, the full refund, deposit included, is issued within 14 days using the same payment method used for the order, subject to the piece complying with the conditions above.
4. Exchanges - Collection pieces
Beyond the legal withdrawal period, Origine Paris may, as a commercial gesture and subject to the Maison's express acceptance, consider exchanging a collection piece for another piece of equal or greater value.
Any exchange request must be made in writing to contact@origineparis.com within a maximum of thirty (30) calendar days from receipt of the piece. The exchange is subject to the same return conditions as those set out in section 3 (as-new condition, original case, certificates included, return costs borne by the client). Any price difference will be charged to the client. No refund is issued where the exchange is for a piece of lower value.
5. Returns - Bespoke pieces
Bespoke pieces are not eligible for the right of withdrawal. In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, goods made to the client's specifications or clearly personalised are excluded from the right of withdrawal. This includes engraving, changes to dimensions or materials, resizing, as well as any entirely original creation.
However, if your piece has a manufacturing defect or a hidden defect, Origine Paris undertakes to remedy it as soon as possible under the applicable statutory warranties. Contact us at contact@origineparis.com describing the issue and attaching photographs.
Please note: any technical work, repair or resizing carried out by a third party not approved by Origine Paris results in the immediate loss of the statutory warranties of conformity and against hidden defects.
6. Piece received damaged
If your jewel reaches you damaged in transit, we ask you to:
1. Refuse the parcel or make reservations
If the packaging is visibly damaged on receipt, refuse the parcel or note explicit reservations on the carrier's delivery note.
2. Contact us within 48 hours
Send us an email at contact@origineparis.com with photographs of the packaging and the piece. We will handle the process with the carrier and find a solution as soon as possible.
