Last updated: 24 May 2026
Origine Paris places great importance on protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what your rights are.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Origine Paris SAS, whose registered office is at 231 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France.
For any question about your personal data or to exercise your rights, you can write to us at: contact@origineparis.com
2. The data we collect and why
We only collect the data strictly necessary for the purposes described below. Our website does not offer online sales or payment: it is a showcase for our creations, with a contact form.
a. Request for information or an appointment via the contact form
- Data collected: name, email address, subject and content of your message.
- Purpose: to respond to your request and, where applicable, arrange an appointment.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us, as well as pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
- Retention period: if your request does not lead to a follow-up, your contact details are deleted no later than twelve months after our last exchange.
b. Newsletter subscription
- Data collected: email address (and name if you have provided it), from the information you leave in the form.
- Purpose: to send you our news and communications.
- Legal basis: your consent, given at the time of your subscription request.
- Retention period: until you withdraw your consent, and no later than three years after your last interaction with our communications.
- You can unsubscribe at any time, via the link included in every mailing or by writing to us at contact@origineparis.com.
c. Relationship management in our internal tool
- Data collected: identity, contact details, history of our exchanges, preferences and details relating to your jewellery project.
- Purpose: to follow up on our relationship when your request leads to an appointment or a creation project, and to manage our client relationship.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in managing and following up on our prospects and clients, as well as carrying out the steps undertaken at your request.
- Retention period: for the entire duration of our relationship, then three years after our last contact for prospects. When the relationship results in a purchase, the associated accounting documents are kept in accordance with legal obligations (in particular ten years for accounting records).
3. Cookies and audience measurement
Our website uses two categories of cookies.
Cookies strictly necessary for the website to function (session, security, technical preferences) are essential and do not require your consent.
Audience measurement cookies, via Google Analytics, help us understand website traffic. They are only placed after your consent, collected via the banner displayed on your first visit. Until you have accepted, no audience measurement cookie is placed and no data is sent to Google. You can change your choice at any time by reopening the cookie management banner.
Audience measurement cookies have a maximum lifespan of thirteen months, in accordance with CNIL recommendations.
4. Recipients of your data
Your data is never sold. It may be processed by technical providers acting on our behalf:
- Shopify, which hosts our website. Data is hosted within the European Union.
- Google, for audience measurement (only after your consent). This service may involve a transfer of data outside the European Union, governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Our email service provider, for our communications and replies.
- Our internal customer relationship management tool.
5. Your rights
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights: the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection to processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and the right to set guidelines for the handling of your data after your death.
To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@origineparis.com. We will respond as soon as possible and within one month at the latest.
If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or via the website www.cnil.fr.
6. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or in regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
