All Origine Paris engagement rings are in recycled 18-carat gold and set with a lab-grown diamond of D colour and VS clarity at minimum; from 0.5 carat, each diamond comes with its IGI report. The Classique, a solitaire in five shapes, runs from €2,350 for one carat to €3,990 for four carats; its pavé band version, from €2,850 to €4,490.
18-carat gold
18-carat gold is 750 parts per thousand pure gold, the standard of fine jewellery. Origine Paris works it in yellow, rose and white, and it comes from recycled sources: it requires no new mining. The rings are made to order by partner workshops in Lyon and in Valenza, Italy.
The IGI report
IGI, the International Gemological Institute, is one of the major gemmological laboratories. Its report describes the diamond, weight, dimensions, cut, colour, clarity, and states that it is a lab-grown diamond. At Origine Paris, from 0.5 carat, each diamond is delivered with its IGI report, and the report number is laser-inscribed on the stone.
D colour, VS clarity
D colour is the first grade on the scale, the whitest. VS clarity, "very slightly included", means minute inclusions, invisible to the naked eye. The house has set VS1 or VS2 as the minimum for all its pieces, without exception; it does not sell diamonds of a lower colour or clarity. Each stone's report gives its individual assessment.

Ordering, in Paris or online
Rings are ordered online or by appointment. Origine Paris receives at 21 rue de la Paix, Paris 2nd, and by video call or telephone. Six to eight weeks to make; complimentary delivery, by secure shipment with signature.
Frequently asked questions
Is the IGI report included in the price? Yes, from 0.5 carat, at no extra cost.
Can the ring be engraved? Yes, an inside engraving is possible, to be specified when ordering.
And a bespoke ring? The house offers a bespoke design study for €500, deducted from the price of the piece if it is ordered within twelve months.
And for the wedding? The Classique has its matching curved wedding band, which fits the engagement ring; the Signature line, also designed for weddings, offers two-carat rings and their bands, in the same three golds.
